【Precision in Every Second, Elegance in Every Leap】The Longines Appointment with Time at the Beijing International Equestrian Masters

Figure 1: Key Visual of the 13th Longines Beijing International Equestrian Masters
The beauty of equestrianism has never been confined to the instant of clearing an obstacle. It also lies in the restraint of a rider reading the course, in the trust between horse and rider as they respond to each other, and in the steady return to rhythm after taking flight. Speed and power take one's breath away, while an accurate and fair timing system ensures that every effort is clearly recorded and seriously compared.
Longines' deep connection with equestrian sport dates back to 1869. As the title sponsor, official timekeeper and official timepiece of the event, Longines has always been deeply engaged in equestrianism, witnessing every spectacular leap on the course with precise timing. The elegance, precision, composure and perseverance embodied in equestrian sport are highly consistent with the brand philosophy Longines has long upheld. For Longines, timekeeping is not merely a record of results, but a respect for competitive spirit and outstanding performance. For Longines, precision is not a cold number; it safeguards the fairness of competition and also reflects the judgment, patience and measure that riding requires.

In 2011, the first Beijing International Equestrian Masters was held at the Bird's Nest, jointly created by DOMA Equestrian and German equestrian legend Ludger Beerbaum, and introduced the operating team of the CHIO Aachen World Equestrian Festival. In 2012, Longines further became the title sponsor and official timekeeper of the event, helping to establish it permanently at the Bird's Nest. Over the more than a decade since, this CSI3* event has grown into one of the largest and highest-level equestrian gatherings in Asia. From an international event landing at an Olympic landmark to international riders and Chinese riders exchanging and competing in the same arena, what Longines has participated in is not only the recording of results, but also the witness to equestrianism being understood, appreciated and shared by more people in China.

While watching the competition, one may wish to stroll over to this elegant realm, pause to appreciate it in detail, and truly feel the perfect blend of fine watchmaking art and equestrian grace. From precise professional timekeeping on the course to the immersive aesthetic presentation in the Equestrian Park, Longines interprets the brand's deep connection with equestrian sport in a dual manner.

The 13th Longines Beijing International Equestrian Masters will be held from October 15 to 18, 2026 at the National Stadium (Bird's Nest). Longines will continue to participate as title sponsor, official timekeeper and official timepiece. With the theme "The Moment to Leap," the event will bring the tension of professional competition, the rapport between human and horse, and a public-oriented equestrian experience to the Bird's Nest. For Longines, from seconds to leaps, what timekeeping witnesses is always respect for outstanding performance and a long-term commitment to elegance and grace.
